Volunteer and help change a life this summer!
June 12 - 16, 2017
Family SOUP's Yuba City iCan Bike Camp helps individuals with disabilities discover how to ride a conventional two-wheel bicycle and become lifelong independent bike riders. This achievement, in turn, creates a gateway of opportunity, helping them gain confidence and self-reliance in many other aspects of their lives.
Volunteer Spotters walk/run/jog alongside a rider as they are learning to ride a bike during a 75-minute session (with short breaks) for 5 days Monday through Friday. Spotters provide encouragement and physical support, as needed. All volunteers receive a custom t-shirt & water bottle. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old.
Required Volunteer Training: Sunday, June 11 at 2 pm.
The training and camp is held at River Valley High School Main Gym, 801 El Margarita Road in Yuba City (corner of Harter Parkway and Spirit Road).
Registration Deadline: May 26th. Register early for best session choice!
